Zero Energy housing demonstration
project in Washington.

In May, 2002 working with the Captain Planet Foundation, the U.S.
Dept. of Energy, the U.S. National Parks Service and other sponsors, Big Frog Mountain
Corporation installed the demonstration solar electric system on the Zero Energy Cottage
again on the mall in front of the White House in Washington, DC.
The carpentry tools used to build the house in Washington were powered by electricity generated by
our portable solar electric system. Architects, builders and home owners can
now clearly see how a solar electric
utility intertied system combined with the most energy efficient design and
Energy Star® appliances
yield buildings with lowered or zero energy costs. These super energy
efficient buildings help the utility
companies by offsetting peak load demands and help us all by reducing emissions from power generation.
