Bonnaroo Music Festival has a special solar effort that we support.We had a great success for five years powering the Solar Stage for Bonnaroo with one of our portable solar power systems.

Big Frog Mountain has supplied the 'green power' from portable solar electric systems to run the Solar Stage at Bonnaroo for the past three years. Each year has been very exciting and fun while bringing thousands (90,000+ attended) of folks a real live example of the power of renewable energy at work. The Bonnaroo Solar Stage system was a 2KW (2000-watt) solar array on a 20' enclosed trailer that held the power switch gear and power storage components. We coupled this system with an additional 1.2KW portable system trailer brought down from Ohio to give a total of 3.2KW of solar generator capacity. The stage ran about 18 hours per day for three consecutive days without any power problems at all. We enjoyed hearing and seeing Bonnie Raitt, the Bonnaroo Buskers, Hunab Kru, the Dogwood Alliance's great shows, Jake Leg Stompers and the Gypsy Hands Belly Dancers as well as all the others on the Solar Stage. There was no fossil fuel generated power used (or needed) for this stage at Bonnaroo. Big Frog Mountain was proud to again be able to donate the use of this equipment used for "Turning Sunshine into Music"TM at the festival.
